concise: there way (with youtrack-api or somehow) alter issue id. s-5 s-30?

full story: created youtrack project track scientific equipment, produce. 1 device - 1 issue. custom fields, created, convenient way handle "device stories".

the problem have, devices have own id numbers. if alter issue id so, corresponds device ids, helpful. helpful, when reference device other issues , other projects, , have links real device ids, etc.

currently it's not possible. there's quite old feature request on this: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/jt-11067.
