puppet - How to understand expanded_relationships.dot -

i'm new puppet. @ moment seek understand how relationsships between resources work. because of looked @ graphs. here example:

at expanded_relationsships.dot not understand why there 1 border service[ntp] class[ntp] , 1 border other direction. looks cycle ... (and why there border class[settings] class[settings]?)

can explain how dot files can read/understand? or maybe missed documentation , can post link?

there bug in current release of puppet (at time of writing 3.7.3) whichs causes expanded relationships graph not contain relation edges containment edges. see pup-914 details.

the issue fixed in puppet 4.0 , there exists backport of fix puppet 3.x. easiest way meaningful graph manually apply prepare local installation, changes minimal.
