java - How to convert a project to maven? -

java - How to convert a project to maven? -

there's quite bit of info regarding this, main problem when people talking maven, it's japanese me. basically, have project next .jar dependencies. project api that's distributed hundereds of users. i've been wanting integrate jetty server api awhile remote-access. however, every effort i've tried has failed due not using maven, seems it's required have maven setup run jetty.

here's list of dependencies project.

apache-commons-lang.jar apache-commons-logging.jar com.google.protobuf-2.4.0.jar javax.jar javax.validation-1.0.0.ga.jar jboss-logging.jar jjboss-marshalling.jar jetty-all-9.3.0-m1.jar mysql-connector-java-5.1.33-bin.jar org.osgi.core-4.2.0.jar servlet-api-2.5jar

basically, i'm getting bunch of conflicting info on how set .jar generated can used api. i'm reading info saying if set 1 way, jar combine , export without dependency code, causing application not run on other devices, , other problems.

i don't care maven, want jetty working, seems solution.

if want know how run jetty maven, leverage plugin

<plugin> <groupid>org.mortbay.jetty</groupid> <artifactid>jetty-maven-plugin</artifactid> <version>${jetty.version}</version> <configuration> <connectors> <connector implementation="org.eclipse.jetty.server.nio.selectchannelconnector"> <port>8080</port> <maxidletime>3600000</maxidletime> </connector> <connector implementation="org.eclipse.jetty.server.ssl.sslsocketconnector"> <port>8443</port> <maxidletime>3600000</maxidletime> <keystore>${project.build.directory}/test-classes/keystore</keystore> <password>wicket</password> <keypassword>wicket</keypassword> </connector> </connectors> </configuration> </plugin>

in pom file.

java maven jar jboss jetty
