here sample scenario :

app runs , user talk. app create notification when user mentions predetermined word.

something similar "ok google" : user can maintain talking nil happen until user says related google search.

i have considered using mediarecorder class (http://developer.android.com/reference/android/media/mediarecorder.html) problem records sound , saves file. lead saving every thing user says file , comparing predetermined word. inefficient , bad user's battery.

i need able straight access sound coming microphone.

is possible?

any help or examples appreciated. please allow me know if question needs clarified in way.
