ruby on rails - How to set a custom error page with passenger and apache -
i using capistrano, apache 2 , passenger rollout rails applications on weekly basis, works well. encountered error passenger side of deployment exposed stack trace , server information, able rollback , exposed moment, moment still venerable.
so:
how disable this?, have see this might reply question leads more: i want utilize rails custom error pages display errors 500's , 404, if passenger explodes or encounter broken route (so rails error) want see custom error page, not rails error page, not passenger error page.v reading this documentation on passenger , apache didn't provide examples of how might this.my goal if reason encounter rails error or deployment goes wrong don't see rails stack trace or passenger stack trace. see, instead, custom error page.
nice thing during deployment process redirect requests static page saying "we'll in 10 minutes". can follow answer manually or utilize gem capistrano/maintenance. thought you'd have capistrano task. running task static html page beingness created on server in public
directory. apache configured watch whether page exists, , if - requests redirected 503 status.
