kettle - Pentaho keetle - Create file depending on values -

i've got table in database export in different files depending on specific name (let scientific_name - illustration below). each scientific name in table to:

create corresponding file, e.g. ab.txt, ac.txt insert in file corresponding values.

examples

for ab.txt:

id, value 1, 2 3, 3

for ac.txt:

id, value 2, 5 4, 4

example of table:

id | scientific_name | name | value 1 | ab | aa | 2 2 | ac | cc | 5 3 | ab | aa | 3 4 | ac | cc | 4

the text file output step has alternative allows specify field in dataset has name of file that's going created.

it creates 2 different files depending on name of column in dataset. it's pretty simple, shows functionality need. bear in mind, transformation output files straight on kettle's installation folder.

pentaho kettle
