Converting bitmap pdf to pdf with text that can be copied -

in reading journal articles school, come across pdfs cannot select text, makes taking notes inconvenient. funny thing is, pdf not appear scanned, , security permissions allow copying, text not enable me so. how can convert pdf pdf can select text, preferably without having convert each page individually, there typically 20 pages per pdf.

i've tried online converters, can't seem find 1 can 'digitize' text while maintaining file in pdf format.

any suggestions? background info explain helps well.

try "print" original pdf file new pdf archive using "pdf creator" or similar application. in new file should able select text.
