the reason existed deal problem of devices / displays not beingness able display 24-bit color (0-255 red, 0-255 green, 0-255 blue).

all modern devices you'd care developing back upwards 24-bit color.

now, run different problem same color value (something 0xd4d0c8) different on different devices , displays. there's not can that. colors won't more consistent others.

personally, wouldn't worry much, unless you're writing app or deals color matching or similar. in case, you'd want way calibrate device standard, uncertainty necessary.
