i new reporting services 2012 , struggling design study should quite "simple". @ least, in excel. confused how approach problem. have attached sample pdf of want. study on annual , half-yearly qty sold, amount , average price. has same (qty, amount , avg.) year well.

however, unlike conventional reports, expands horizontally, instead of vertically. since product info suppressed, row labels need shown left. hard explain want - hence have attached sample pdf (created excel) create clearer. can see it's quite simple.

what struggling how started? if utilize matrix (crosstab), qty sold, amount, avg. labels go column. don't know include in row group.

one possible way might work if info in next format:

however, finish hack , getting yearly totals wouldn't work in manner! appreciate guideline started.

add row grouping each row want (qty sold, amount etc) grouping on "a" or similar. add together column groups half , year , drag qty sold value area first row group, amount sec etc...
