Hiding documents for an index in elasticsearch -

i have utilize case in need soft delete documents index in elastic-search.

sample scenario :

elastic-search (es) -> index1 [ doc1 , doc2, doc3, ... docn]

now es query fetches me documents match query. resultant documents

[doc4, doc5,doc6]

now need soft delete document doc5 still exists in es, resultant set instead

[ doc4, doc6]

is there way accomplish scenario on es?

one possible solution thought move document (example : doc5) newer index under same es instance.

but i'm keen know if there other ways around.
