when lookin @ liferay, clear using portlets 1 of strong points of liferay. when looking @ different approach, see term 'woa (web oriented architecture', boils downwards soa (over http) using rest instead of soap.

if understand correctly, possible using alloyui (liferay-aui), javascript framework used liferay, using ajax calls. see succesfull attemps using angular.js in portlets. however, when looking @ wiki page of enterprise portal vendors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/list_of_enterprise_portal_vendors) , woa not listed interfacing alternative liferay.

this means definitions of woa wrong, understanding of utilize of javascript frameworks incomplete, else, ....

anyone can explain missing something?
