i have postgres 9.1 installed on windows server 2008 r2 machine having 32 gb ram. performance tuning have update shared buffer 8 gb. after updating shared buffer 8 gb in postgresql.conf file not able start service. giving error message "the postgresql-9.1 - postgresql server 9.1 serviceon local computer started , stopped. servcies stop automatically if not in utilize other servcies or programs".

any 1 can suggest how can update shared buffer. suggestions highly appreciated...
