i want create typ of chart in excel:

with vertical gridlines dividing chart year, , labels each year. guy made chart said thinks drew in lines , added labels manually somehow. can done other way? drawing lines in charts isnt exact , other solutions i've found can't produce same result.

if have info looks like:

you can select info , add together new scatter plot style chart. will, default, similar 1 above. vertical lines @ years, can right-click x-axis , take "format axis". click "fixed" "major unit" , come in 356 number.

right click 1 time again on x-axis , take "add major gridlines". should vertical line each year.

as boxes/labels years, may have manually or creative vba.
