Vlookup help in Excel -
what trying compare column b column f (being invoice number) , column d column j (being money value) , if value exists in columns maybe yes in column m?
there occasions both column b , f match column d , j don’t them highlight in reddish or too.
if understand question correctly, can need conditional formatting.
i sampled info starting in row 3.
per instructions have invoice numbers in columns b , f.
i have corresponding dollar values in columns d , j (d beingness related b's invoice number, etc).
in info have 3 rows of information.
i selected range j3:j5 , created new conditional formatting rule. select use formula determine cells format use formula=j3<>vlookup(f3,$b$3:$d$5,3,false)
set fill color when fails. j3 equals first dollar value of sec set of data
f3 equals first invoice number of sec set of data
$b$3:$d$5 total range of first set of data
what formula check see if j3 not equal invoice amount corresponding invoice number in first set of data.
it work if invoice numbers in different order.
