php - Mysql special characters not updating correctly -

I have updated a column with a value in a table

"Size: Rabbit Inside: 31 ½ "x 50 ¼" Rabbit min 3/8 "

. But it was updated

"Size: Rabbit inside: 31 half" x 50 ¼ "Rabbit min 3/8".

When I put the query into phpmyadmin, it gets updated correctly.
