you used able (with jscript/vbscript) in ie if , if user added site trusted sites (and allowed pretty much everywhere there), or if intranet-site relaxed permissions.

back in old day's had such thing intranet-help-site users browse through faq , click on 'execute solution' button mutual 'problems' (previously solved , added db).
