if you're running os x yosemite gold master release candidate 3 (gm 3) or public beta 6 (pb 6), won't need update final release version in mac app store (mas). while there minor differences in build numbers between versions, apple considering both gm 3 , pb 6 "final" , not offering mas version either of them installed.
