I am working on a site and I need to make some changes to a JavaScript file. At any time I freeze VS 2013 for about 30 seconds. Then just typing $ takes 30 seconds if I use go to definition then it takes about 2 minutes.
This is not my code, it's the code from an envato template. There are a lot of JSHint alerts on the code, but it is working fine in the browser, so there is no use to correct the alert through all the code files, I need to modify some functions, but 30's Rate per second for a long time at your rate.
Simply open the code file (with the selected tab) in the solution Explorer slows down everything, including the right-click context menu.
My own javascript files are okay with no speed delay, so there is something in the code that is slowing down the IDE, but going through the line line and refactoring this job Is worth.
Does anyone know what this can be? I know that I can only use a different editor, but I did not have to do this and I would like to do this too, I'm guessing that this should be some intellisense related problem. How do I go about debugging? Can I close Intelligence for a personal file?
