swing - Any Java drawing API similar to Processing? -

i've been working processing quite long time , pretty much know how works , how can exploit want every time. problem i'll starting high caliber project , don't want hardcoding things buttons or sliders manually via processing while java apis (like swing) work done in hurry, drag&dropping.

given i've never joined processing , swing, , hearing people 2 doesn't work together, maybe can set lite on future giving tip of library works processing (in terms of easy drawing methods) , combine java, easy code "premade" part consisting on tables, buttons, sliders, yada yada... , other can phone call "visor" graphics drawn upon user actions controls.

i seek explain myself improve if not understood, there must (i hope @ least) knows graphic lib easy bind , utilize swing. in advance!

i disagree other answer, i'm going post own.

first off: can absolutely mix swing , processing, long utilize processing within of swing. using swing within of processing part doesn't work.

secondly: drag-and-drop gui builders notoriously horrible swing. love of gosling, remain away.

third: jung uses swing, it's not "alternative" swing. it's on top of swing.

fourth: said you're going using java, pointing out javascript solutions seems go outside of question.

all of beingness said, can absolutely utilize processing java library. can mix either swing or javafx, long you're putting processing within of swing/javafx , not other way around.

a processing sketch is awt component (awt gui library around before swing). specifically, it's subclass of applet. can set awt component (including sketch) within swing or javafx fine. problem when go other way: can't put, example, swing jbutton within of processing sketch. going other way (which want do) fine though.
