javascript - Magento js and css changes not reflect -

i had problem added custom java script included when changes contents doesn't effect. runs older java script file. since cleared cache. deleted every folder of /var/ also. still runs older java script code. while see in uploaded file shows updated code using url of java script in browser shows old code. flushed magento cache storage. flushed cache of css/javascript also.

in case if guy have solution allow me know.

same problem css also. changes doen't reflect. cleared cache lot of times back-end cleared var folder also.

your server have header info asking browsers cache static files js/css. browser still caching old css files. 1 way check if indeed browser , not accidentally editing wrong css file enabling , disabling (only go 1 way check) css file merge. doing forcing browser fetch whole new file - bypassing caching.

you may want take @ our css/js versioning extension includes automatic refresh of file name hash based on css/js file timestamps (sensitive editing , changes) http://extensions.activo.com/css-and-javascript-versioning.html
