i started reading effective java(joshua bloch) , i'm @ chapter 3.

each instance of class inherently unique. true classes represent active entities rather values, such thread.

i don't understand particularly mentioned thread class.

the thread class prime illustration of class represents active entities. each thread "thread of execution of program" (oracle docs). in other words, thread class models active computation. not create much sense treat thread value. 2 threads instantiated same initial state may deed differently. why multithreading bugs, deadlock, occur.
