i have downloaded spring tool suite (3.6.1.release linux) , trying go through rest tutorial, unable import sts. since tutorial using gradle, had installed gradle ide extension sts' dashboard. used dashboard importing tutorial project , resulted nousabledaemonfoundexception.

i tried import tutorial sts gradle project, resulted similar problem:

i tried on freshly installed ubuntu 14.04 , got same problem.

edit: works fine sts installed on eclipse kepler.

possibly side-effect of https://issuetracker.springsource.com/browse/sts-3922 problem in eclipse 4.4 update.
