linux - Bash script throws error 'Unable to access jarfile' after copying -

currently working on bash script prepares file hierarchy deb bundle that's supposed include java jar file. programme called safeplace, jar's name safeplace.jar.

this code trick:

jar_file=$program_name.jar cp $jar_file $temp_dir/debian/usr/share/$program_name/

shortly after having copied jar (/tmp/debian/usr/share/safeplace/safeplace.jar) bash throws error

error: unable access jarfile /usr/share/safeplace/safeplace.jar

and stops without exiting.

it seems line culprit:

echo "java -jar /usr/share/$program_name/$program_name.jar" >> $temp_dir/debian/usr/bin/$program_name

but why bash phone call jar? it's supposed add together "java -jar /usr/share/$program_name/$program_name.jar" file not execute it.

my machine runs on debian wheezy 7.7.

any ideas?

linux bash jar deb
